What am I focusing on?

Education plays a vital role in how societies grow and develop. This is due to the many aspects of life that it impacts. From influencing job opportunities and healthier lifestyles to reducing crime, promoting the sharing of culture and creating community norms. However worldwide, there is a disparity of quality education and equality. There are a multitude of factors that play a role in how this major has occurred, however for the sake of my research I am focusing on K-12 Education and how  government involvement in funding of education has an impact on teacher and students performance. Hundreds of millions of people lack access to resources and opportunities of equal K-12 education from the funding of schools. If these issues continue, we can expect the problem to get worse. As I do a deeper dive into the issue I will also be exploring the successes and struggles of other countries, specifically Germany and India.
